10 Documentary Movies to Watch in Quarantine: *As a clarification, this is not my top 10 favorite film list for this/or any category. This list is compiled of the movies that are currently available to stream on the most popular streaming services; Amazon Prime, Hulu, and Netflix. Some are favorites, for sure. But the list was limited by what is available to stream online.
Documentary titles is one of my favorite categories! If I could add all the ones I have seen and not just the ones to stream, I would. But this is my list of 10 documentaries (that are available) to watch during this global quarantine.
THREE IDENTICAL STRANGERS (TV-PG)
This documentary tells the story of three unlikely strangers who, through miraculous and unexpected events, discover that they are triplets separated at birth. The story only starts there but continues to get more strange as the truth of their separation unfolds.

An in-depth and fascinating look into the mystery of black holes.

BRENE BROWN: THE CALL TO COURAGE (TV-14)
If you’re looking for a fun, thoughtful, life-changing documentary, this Netflix produced speech is one to see. Brene Brown invites us all to gain more courage, accept our vulnerability as a power, and become the people we were meant to be.

THE BILL MURRAY STORIES: LIFE LESSONS LEARNED FROM A MYTHICAL MAN (TV-MA)
This documentary explores the various urban legends that surround beloved actor Bill Murray and his famous, and totally awesome, behavior.

BEING ELMO: A PUPPETEER’S JOURNEY (PG)
Elmo is a beloved muppet character on Sesame Street and among children all over the world. This documentary allows us to get a glimpse of the man behind the puppet.

No matter your political beliefs, MITT is an interesting documentary that shares the journey of one man as he campaigns to be the President of the United States of America.

JFK: THE SMOKING GUN (13+)
Using ballistics expert Howard Donahue’s evidence, Australian detective investigates the JFK assassination and the possibility of a second shooter in Dealey Plaza.

NEW YORK DOLL (PG)
New York Doll tells the amazing true story of Arthur “Killer” Kane of the famed rock band The New York Dolls as he reunites with the band after his 30 year absence. During this time he became a recovering alcoholic and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

MAKING A MURDERER (TV-MA)
A riveting docu-series filmed over a 10 year period in which we learn the story of Steven Avery, who, after being exonerated by DNA evidence for a crime he didn’t commit, suddenly finds himself the suspect of another grisly crime.
