A movie starring Tom Hanks, written by Joel and Ethan Cohen, and directed by the legendary Steven Spielberg. I call that a trifecta!
I love The Beard’s big, iconic popcorn movies just as much as the next guy, maybe even more so, but serious, thought-provoking Spielberg is always every bit as exciting. SCHLINDER’S LIST is a masterpiece, and so are SAVING PRIVATE RYAN and MUNICH for that matter. Hell, you can throw LINCOLN in there too. Spielberg is a national treasure (make that a global treasure) and that title is well earned. The very idea of him collaborating with the makers of FARGO and the star of BACHELOR PARTY on a Cold War thriller gives me chills.
This movie looks stunning! October 16th can’t come soon enough!
