THE WRATH OF CON!
Article by Adam Mast
Comic-Con International is right around the corner. July 8th-12th, to be exact. For those of you who were lucky enough to score badges to this San Diego staple, you’ll be happy to know that programming for Preview Night and the first official day of the convention has been announced.
Hall H is generally the big draw for us as quite obviously, we’re huge movie buffs here at Cinemast.net, and it is this 6,500 seat ballroom that usually serves as a showcase for all the big film presentations. As was the case with last year’s Con though, it looks like film and television will be represented in Hall H in equal measure. Open Road Films will have a presentation (no word yet on which films the studio will be highlighting) and so will Lionsgate (THE HUNGER GAMES: MOCKINGJAY PART 2.)
Beyond that, Hall H will offer up a look at Alan Tudyk’s 13 years in the making ode to fan conventions, CON MAN. The insanely popular DOCTOR WHO will also make an appearance.
Hall H will close out the evening with a look at a brand new SCOOBY-DOO adventure. You might be asking yourself why Hall H would end the evening with SCOOBY-DOO. That’s a fair question. Well, beyond SCOOBY-DOO being awesome, it probably has to do with the fact that iconic rock band KISS is a part of the project. Cooler still, KISS will be on the panel. No telling if they’ll be performing, but members of the band are definitely going to be there.
Programming for Friday July 10th will be rolled out tomorrow at the Comic-Con International web site. It’s an epic day that we already know will include THE FORCE AWAKENS, THE WALKING DEAD, and GAME OF THRONES. What else will programmers have in store? We’ll just have to wait and see.
