I love Guillermo del Toro! PAN’S LABYRINTH is one of the best films of the last decade and i even greatly enjoyed the polarizing robots vs. monsters opus, PACIFIC RIM.

Del Toro is back this fall with what looks to be a creepy, atmospheric ghost tale called CRIMSON PEAK. This one appears to harken back to earlier del Toro efforts like DEVIL’S BACKBONE, only with a considerably larger budget.

Visually, CRIMSON PEAK looks positively stunning. The location itself is enough to give you nightmares for months, and word on the street is, this is one edgy flick. Hence the R rating.

Bottom line, it’s always great to have a new del Toro flick in theaters and if this one is the hit I hope it’s going to be, perhaps he’ll finally be able to bring AT THE MOUNTAINS OF MADNESS TO THE SCREEN.
