“EPISODE VII” GETS AN OFFICIAL TITLE!

It seems only fitting that J.J. Abrams and Disney officially unveil the name of STAR WARS EPISODE VII the same week Christopher Nolan’s sci-fi epic INTERSTELLAR hits theaters.

What’s the title?

STAR WARS EPISODE VII: THE FORCE AWAKENS

Simple and to the point and while it isn’t particularly flashy, it’s far less silly than THE PHANTOM MENACE and ATTACK OF THE CLONES.

With EPISODE VII having just wrapped principal photography, Abrams and crew now begin the lengthy post production process so that they can meet the December 2015 release date. Might we see a teaser trailer anytime soon? Disney isn’t saying but my guess is they’ll hold it for the big STAR WARS Celebration Convention in Anaheim next spring.

Adam Mast has been a lifelong film enthusiast dating back to age 6 when his parents took him to see a little movie called JAWS at a drive-in theater in Northern California. This would lead him to several writing stints for various publications and outlets. Mast would also have a hand in several film projects of various shapes and sizes. Together, Mast and Pugh would also create the 501 (C)(3) nonprofit, Film and Media Alliance of Southern Utah (FMASU) in 2017. FMASU’s mission is to encourage, inspire and educate filmmaking talent and to preserve film history. Adam currently resides in southern Utah with his amazing wife, Tonja, and their four wonderful children.
