FANTASTIC BEASTS OF THE SOUTHERN WILD
Article By John Pugh
Just as Peter Jackson couldn’t get enough from adapting J.R.R. Tolkien’s stories of Middle Earth, it seems that Director David Yates can’t get enough of J.K. Rowling’s magical world of witches and wizards. Yates, (Who helmed four of the Harry Potter films from HARRY POTTER AND THE ORDER OF THE PHOENIX to the close of the beloved franchise HARRY POTTER AND THE DEATHLY HALLOWS PART 2), has returned to the world of wizarding to adapt J.K.Rowling’s book FANTASTIC BEASTS AND WHERE TO FIND THEM.
FANTASTIC BEASTS was published in 2001 and is taken from the Hogwarts Library series. Warner Bros Pictures has plans to play out the story as a trilogy over the next 4 years. The story is set in New York about 70 years before Harry Potter’s story begins. Eddie Redmayne stars as the main character, Newt Scamander and is accompanied by Colin Farrell, Ezra Miller, Jon Voight, Ron Pearlman and Samantha Morton, to name a few.
FANTASTIC BEASTS AND WHERE TO FIND THEM will appear into theaters November 18th 2016!
