THE TWILIGHT ZONE…ON THE BIG SCREEN…FOR ONE NIGHT ONLY! COURTESY OF FATHOM EVENTS!
Article by Adam Mast
Yep! I said it right there in the header! “The Greatest TV show of all time!” I’ve seen every episode multiple times and I never tire of them. Through the years, I’d even find myself watching those holiday marathons on television even though I own the entire damn series.
To say I was excited about this when it was announced would be a gross understatement!
Alternative theatrical content titans, Fathom Events, is presenting a very special 60th anniversary celebration for fans of “The Twilight Zone” on November 14th. Said fans will have the unique opportunity to see 6 episodes of this iconic television series…
ON THE BIG SCREEN!!
Yes, please!
So…Many a fan can go about arguing why their favorite episode is not among the 6 being screened during this event but as far as I’m concerned, every episode is my favorite. In fact, I’m so excited about this event that I’m not even letting the fact that our local theater isn’t hosting one of these get me down. I’m simply going to drive 100 miles south to a city that is hosting it so that I can bask in the glory of Rod Serling, the kind of irony.
Here’s a list of the 6 episodes showing as part of this 60th anniversary celebration, courtesy of our friends at Fathom Events:
WALKING DISTANCE
A man on a business trip takes a stroll down memory lane…Literally!
TIME ENOUGH AT LAST
The great Burgess Meredith stars as a nebbish, walked-on man who finds that he has all the time in the world to do what he loves most, but at what cost?
THE INVADERS
Agnes Moorehead of “Bewitched” fame appears as a frightened woman who, in a bid for survival, must square off against tiny alien invaders while alone in a run down shack in the middle of nowhere.
THE MONSTERS ARE DUE ON MAPLE STREET
Alien invasion is a theme explored in several episodes, but in “The Monsters Are Due on Maple Street,” Rod Serling suggests that the real monsters aren’t from beyond the stars but rather, within each of us.
EYE OF THE BEHOLDER
A woman undergoes evasive surgery to cure her of her hideous deformity, but will a skilled surgical team have what it takes to pull off the near impossible?
TO SERVE MAN
The monumental twist is a key ingredient in the greatest of “The Twilight Zone” and this episode, featuring an alien race (one of whom is played by Richard Kiel of MOONRAKER and HAPPY GILMORE fame) who arrive on Earth to share their infinite knowledge with mankind, features an all timer!
This one night only event will take place on November 14th! It’ll happen at select theaters nationwide. For a list of those theaters, CLICK HERE!
