The latest rumor from Batman News suggests that Scoot McNairy is playing The Flash in 2016’s BATMAN V SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE. How did this rumor get started? Well, McNairy’s casting had already been confirmed, but team BVS:DOJ wasn’t saying what role the ARGO co-star might be playing. A recent twitter photo featuring McNairy in bright green socks however, is leading news outlets to believe that he’s playing The Flash.
What do green socks have to do with The Flash? Well, general wisdom suggests, that the green socks will be converted into high speed legs in post.
We were on hand for that brief BATMAN V SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE teaser at Comic-Con last month and while it was cool to see Batman and Superman on screen together, I can’t help but feel that this film is getting a little too congested, particularly for a movie called BATMAN V SUPERMAN. Don’t get me wrong, I’ll definitely be seeing it when it opens, but part of me wishes they’d dial it down a notch.
I’m not going to recap all of the character names that appear to be part of Zack Snyder’s in-production opus, but with each passing week, it seems like a new iconic superhero is thrown into the mix. Do I have a point? Just this; Perahps Warner Brothers and DC might want to consider changing the title of this movie from BATMAN V SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE, to THE JUSTICE LEAGUE. Just sayin…
